Movie critic Bruce Miller says “I Am Woman” is a fairly passive screen biography that plays it too safe and doesn’t let Helen Reddy break away from the pack of female singer films. More smile-worthy is “The Broken Hearts Gallery,” which is a film simple in plot, dense in character, and packed with breakout performers, who are able to make a so-so idea into an original.
