Maha Music Festival, in collaboration with the Omaha Symphony, will present “A Night of Symphonic Hip Hop featuring Wyclef Jean” at the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St., Omaha, at 8 p.m. Friday.
Wyclef Jean is a multiple Grammy award-winning artist.

Game at the library
The Council Bluffs Public Library, located at 400 Willow Ave., will host an Adult Game Day from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The event, which will be set up in the library’s Meeting Room A, will include four gaming consoles with a variety of games available for each. For those needing a break from the screen, there will be more than 100 titles of board games to choose from.

See a show at the UNO Planetarium
On Friday and Saturday, the Mallory Kountze Planetarium at the University of Nebraska at Omaha will host public programs that portray astronomical events.
These live programs will highlight star patterns, mythology and planets visible in the sky. A staff member will be on hand to answer questions following each presentation.
There will be a 5:30 p.m. show as well as one at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Fish at Big Lake
Saturday at Big Lake, a youth fishing contest will be held in conjunction with the latest trout stocking.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will stock the lake with 1,000 rainbow trout around between 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday. The department will team with Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation on a youth fishing event — with prizes — from 2 to 4 p.m.
Iowa residents and nonresidents must pay a trout fee to fish for or possess trout, according to the city. A fishing license and trout fee can be obtained at any local hunting and fishing license sales agent or at IowaDNR.gov.
Children ages 16 and younger do not need to pay a trout fee to fish with an adult with both a license and trout fee.

Experience ‘light’ at Kaneko
Visit Kaneko in downtown Omaha to witness and interact with a visual art experience that explores science and art.
Collaborators on this project include the Council Bluffs Community School District and WhyArts.

Visit an Arctic Wonderland
Saturday is the opening of a new exhibit at the Omaha Children’s Museum: “Arctic Wonderland.”
The wonderland will feature a snowball arena, a simulated Aurora Borealis, a sled speed tester and more.
While the exhibit is open through April 8, there is a special giveaway on Saturday: the first 200 kids to visit the exhibit will receive a polar bear stuffed animal, while supplies last. The museum will open at 9 a.m.
Regular museum admission applies. Admission to the museum, at 500 S. 20th St., is $12 for ages 2 and older, $11 for seniors and free for members and children younger than 24 months.
