Shenandoah’s K-9 helps in drug arrest

SHENANDOAH (BHNS) — Officers with the Shenandoah Police conducted a traffic stop Saturday in the 900 block of West Nishna Road.

During the course of the investigation, officers deployed K-9 Argo, who alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, The Shenandoah Valley News reported.

Argo’s search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine, marijuana, marijuana wax, numerous prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, a 32-year-old Council Bluffs resident, was charged with possession with intent to deliver prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a prescription drug or device and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was cited for failure to provide proof of liability insurance and driving while suspended.

In addition, a 31-year-old Carter Lake resident faces charges of possession with intent to deliver prescription drugs and unlawful possession of a prescription drug or device. A 28-year-old Council Bluffs resident also faces charges of possession with intent to deliver prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a prescription drug or device and possession of drug paraphernalia.
