Community members across Pottawattamie County are invited to help welcome The Wall That Heals as it arrives in the county on Wednesday, May 20. The motorcade escort will take place ahead of The Wall That Heals being on display for Memorial Day weekend at Lewis Central High School.
The Wall That Heals is a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. The nationally recognized exhibit honors the more than 58,000 service members who lost their lives during the Vietnam War and provides veterans, families, and communities an opportunity for healing, remembrance, and education.
To mark its arrival in Pottawattamie County, The Wall That Heals will be escorted into the community by a ceremonial motorcycle motorcade traveling through several local communities before arriving at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs.

Following setup day on Thursday, May 21, The Wall That Heals will be on display 24 hours a day at Lewis Central High School throughout Memorial Day weekend and is free and open to the public.
