Seniors Caleb Burnside of Stapleton and Hannah Miller of Shickley have been crowned homecoming royalty at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Burnside and Miller, elected in an online vote of the student body Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, were crowned on the field at Memorial Stadium during halftime of the Oct. 3 Nebraska-Maryland football game.
Burnside is an agribusiness major in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. He is a member of the Black Masque Chapter of Mortar Board, Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity, the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council, NHRI Leadership Mentoring, the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program and Salt college ministry. He is the son of Rich and Polly Burnside.
Miller is an elementary education and special education (K-6) major in the College of Education and Human Sciences. She is the recruitment chair for Chi Omega sorority, a staff adviser for NHRI Leadership Mentoring and a member of CEHS’ student advisory board. She is also a student representative for the college’s education committee and was a teacher’s assistant in spring 2026. She is the daughter of Dan and Sarah Miller.
